Change of circumstances forces sale of my beloved e34 M5. Now’s your chance to own the last of these hand built gems from Bavaria.

Mechanicals: 9.5 out of 10. 162,000 miles on a car that will easily do 162,000 more. I had a complete inspection done about 3,200 miles ago (I can provide inspection report on request). Compression is strong and even on all cylinders. Engine runs smoothly (well, as smooth as possible with the stock big, lumpy cams), transmission shifts smoothly, brakes and steering are tight. No leaks or fluid use issues. Good Yokohama ES-100 tires.

Cosmetics: 7 out of 10. I had the paint professionally buffed and restored less than a year ago. No rust whatsoever on the car. The front has typical road sandblasting for a 12 year old car. I have touched-up any bare spots on the metal (hood) to prevent rust, but the airdam (urethane) needs repainted. There is a quarter-sized ding on the top front of the hood which has been repaired with touch-up paint (but needs sanded down), and a 5" or so crack in the front airdam below driver’s side driving lamp. Interior is a “9” with minimal wear on the leather, carpet or dash. Only one small rip in the leather, about 1", on the driver's bolster. All interior accessories work properly, including the heated leather seats (the only option on the car).

What I would do if I were keeping the car to make it perfect: Previous owner had the throwing stars chromed, and they are starting to show their age with some minor curb rash and pitting, so I would have the wheels inexpensively refinished (quoted about $70 per wheel) . I would probably have the front bumper (repair the airdam at the same time) and hood re-sprayed the factory color at some point in the future, due to the sandblasting and minor blemishes that black tends to show-off. I want to be clear when I state the rest of the paint is very good and glossy, with no bodywork needed other than a few small door dings. The factory CD-changer is the only thing on the car that doesn’t work, so I would replace it with an inexpensive rebuilt unit off eBay.

The car still looks great and drives true. The new owner can drive it proudly as is, as the only issues are minor cosmetic ones. I will post some pictures below, and many more are available upon request.

Extras: Lots of factory brochures, window sticker, maintenance records, inspection reports, CarFax, etc. I will assist with delivering the car within a 500 mile range.

Price reduced - $11,000.
