i've found 4 numbers on this, i'm not sure which one is the P/N, so i'll just give all 4...

the only reason i put a year on this was because i was unsure if 98 headlights were any different than say 01's, and from the various bmw board's i've checked out i couldn't find out if that were so or not
looks like they are 650 from HMS... i think my price is pretty fair though

Those numbers tell me that they are aftermarket, which is not a problem. The headlamps on all the Z3's are the same with the exception of the color of the turn signal lense. I have a 98 with the amber turnb signal lenses, however I have replaced all my sidemarker and tail lamps with factory clear from the newer models.
