I am looking to sell my totaled car to a fellow BMW enthusiast, a BMW interested Salvage yard for a very reasonable price. It’s a 1991 BMW 525i Auto, 180k miles, production date 9/90. It was in a front-end accident in December (black-ice, hit a tree). Insurance company totaled it, and I bough it back. I sold some aftermarket suspension parts and upgraded European lights off it, wheels and other minor stuff, but the rest is in good shape and still in-tact. Besides the front, all other doors, window. I replaced the cylinder head myself just 3 weeks before the accident (Nov. 03), because I loved the car and wanted to keep it for at least 2-3 more years. The reason I changed the head is because the car overheated May 2003 that caused a cracked head, and white smoke. The new cylinder head has about 500 miles until the accident. All new hoses and new starter was replaced as well. 4 year old transmission, LSD differential, good shape interior, etc are still intact.
Here are pictures of the car before accident, after accident, and currently on jack-stands. The person interested would need to bring a set of wheels to put on the car to tow it away.
